Land ManagementTKRP provides services and support around traditional land management and research projects. 

The aspirations around re-implementing traditional management regimes, is to demonstrate the value of traditional knowledge for environmental best practice, to benefit community wellbeing.

TKRP has been involved with a number of traditional management projects, some are shown on the website in forms of written case studies and film.   The methodology of TKRP and the knowledge recordings around the  database, fit into supporting the traditional management plans and work plans for supporting land and sea management aspirations. 

The TKRP database can be used as a tool for recording land management knowledge, inspiring environmental projects, and monitoring case studies for supporting research initiatives.  It is also a good presentation tool to help Elders get the message across to other agencies in support of traditional owner initiatives.  This is the base line structure for working towards authentic traditional knowledge projects, while collaborating with broader mainstream interests.

TKRP will arrange by request, an expert of a particular field to assist the community on the ground to implement project aspirations.  TKRP also nominates to contract appropriate Indigenous expert individuals from involved communities to assist with teaching and bridging traditional knowledge principals for land management.  Community mentoring community.

TKRP will not take on a project unless there is sufficient support from the community and that correct procedures have been followed to involve or respect all parties of interests to the project location.  It is important to work together and build on partnership support in regards to achieving an efficient traditional land management project.  
TKRP will only give advise from the traditional knowledge prospective of involved Elders and communities, and will seek advice from involved partnerships and accredited professionals to support particular components of the initiative.
